At the age of 2, Hyunjin developed hearing loss due to a high fever. He then underwent cochlear implant surgery, due to a second incident that caused his hearing loss to worsen. Hyunjin currently only has uses a singular cochlear implant, along with a hearing aid.Hyunjin has also shared his love / appreciation for classical music and his admiration of Ludwig van Beethoven! During a TikTok live stream he mentioned that he has been learning / playing piano for the last 9 or 10 years at least.Hyunjin reportedly mentioned that people used call him 'Beethoven' to ridicule him, as he was considered a symbol of impaired hearing.Hyunjin has previously worked in Café, but has also worked as a content creator / influencer to spread awareness about Hearing Impairments.As of currently, Hyunjin's nickname is Plankton (the Spongebob character, NOT the aquatic organism). He is also currently learning ISL (International Sign Language), ASL (American Sign Language) & English.
